Seams Easy
No quilt is easy to make if you don't sew a correct seam allowance. When sewing your patches together, remember to figure in the width of the stitching line. Check your seam allowances by sewing four 2" patches together. The strip should measure exactly 6 1/2" long when finished and pressed. If your piece is too long, then widen your seam allowances just a bit. If your piece is too short, make slightly narrower seam allowances. A scant 1/4" seam allowance is ideal.
