 Prize-Winning Tips for Machine Quilting

Handy Tools

To help control the quilt when free motion quilting, I use fingers cut from rubber dishwashing gloves.
Sue

I've had success with the Quilt Sew Easy hoop. When I start a machine quilting session, the fabric seems to stick to the machine bed. Once the surface is warmed up--or maybe it's me-- I can put the hoop aside and use my hands and fingers to manipulate the the fabric through the machine.
Carol

I love the knit gloves with gripper dots.
Carolee

I use my bare hands and Neutrogena® Norwegian Formula® Hand Cream. It provides the tacky feel I need for good control; it has no oil and doesn't stain.
Diane

Sometimes I use secretary fingers with vent holes.
