Tips & Techniques

 Mark No More

And Still More Options

Don't forget to add grid quilting to the no-mark list. Spacing evenly, apply masking tape to the quilt top. Guide the needle along the edges of the tape. Following the tape edge smoothly may be easier for you with a walking foot and feed dogs in the raised position. Remove the tape after each quilting session.

Or try Charm Tacks™, whimsical little shapes casual enough to quilt without marking. Space the motifs a fist's width apart as you would when tying a quilt. Clip the threads after all tacks are done.

So pick your method, jump right in and start quilting. Once you're comfortable with these techniques, you'll wonder why you ever needed a quilt fairy.
