Quilting with Con-Tact® Paper Templates

Did you know that templates cut from Con-Tact® adhesive shelf paper are repositionable? And white Con-Tact® is sheer enough for tracing. With a light source behind, trace the quilting motif onto the shelf-paper side and cut out on the line. If you wish to have a reverse version of the motif, trace it on the side with the peel-off backing.

Remove the backing, place the template on the quilt and, with the free-motion technique, stitch around the motif, finishing with the needle down to stabilize the quilt. Reposition the template and quilt a connecting line to it. Complete the quilting lines with lock stitches.

Con-Tact® templates are great for decide-as-you-go casual quilting placement. Work from the center out, quilting motifs as far apart as your batting allows.
