Hopes and Wishes
A Mystery Quilt in Patchwork
Part 8

This is your final step in making QM's mystery quilt Hopes and Wishes. Congratulations!

 Quilting the Motif

The Celebration Charm Tacks™ have a casual look so you might want to stitch them freehand.

If you'd like patterns to follow, trace the motifs on template plastic and cut around the shapes. In random arrangement, place them on the squares and draw around them to mark the motifs. Another good idea is to make several tracings of each motif on Con-tact® paper, cut them out and position them on the squares. They can be repositioned many times. Quilt a motif in each of the light red, dark red, dark blue and white squares.

 Finishing Up

Join the binding strips and enclose the edges of the quilt with this strip.

Thanks so much for joining us in this project. We'd love to see your results. Send clear photos of your Hopes and Wishes to Quiltmaker Sew to Speak, 741 Corporate Circle, Suite A, Golden, CO 80401. Please do not send computer printouts; they do not reproduce well for publication.
