Step 2 Piecing the Rows, cont.

Make 4 row 1's. Repeat this procedure to make 3 row 2's. Measure the length of each row and trim the rows along the bottom to 81 3/4"; discard the excess.



Join patches to make the row 3's. Each row 3 should measure 81 3/4" long when fully pieced-measure the length after piecing halfway down to make sure your piecing is accurate. If the row is getting too long, adjust your 1/4" seam allowances to be slightly larger; conversely, if it is too short, make your seam allowances slightly smaller.
