A Mystery Quilt in Patchwork
Part 7

Now for the favorite process of many quiltmakers--the quilting. You've created the patchwork design so it's time to add the texture. You will complete most of the quilting in this part.

 Making the Sandwich

Slightly stretch the lining wrong side up on a flat surface and pin or tape in place. Layer with the batting and then the quilt top.

Pin or thread baste the layers together.

 Quilting the Seams and Border

Starting from the center seams and working out, quilt in the ditch the vertical, horizontal and diagonal seams as shown. Quilt a line through the center of the border.
