Step 4 Adding Borders 2 and 3
Measure the width of the quilt from raw edge to raw edge through the center. Trim two border 2 strips to this length for the top and bottom borders. Orienting Z blocks as shown in the assembly diagram, add one Z to each end of these strips and press allowances toward the strips. Sew the remaining border 2 strips to opposite sides of the quilt, trim any extra length and press allowances toward the strips. Sew the top and bottom border 2 strips to the quilt and press as before.
Add the side border 3 strips, trim and press. Then add the top and bottom border 3 strips; trim and press again.
