Dala Horses

Dala Horses, 68 1/2" x 93", by Jean Alden from Palmer Lake, Colorado.

The shape of the horses in the Winner's Circle pattern in Quiltmaker, Early Summer '92 (#27) reminded Jean of Swedish folk art horses, so she make this variation for her grandson, Cody Schuyler of Littleton, Colorado. The border is from Trudie Hughes' book Template-Free Quilts and Borders.
