I help design, draft and diagram the quilts and create some of the figures for how-to tips in Quiltmaker. I get to use the math side of my brain, as well as the art side--a perfect combination (and a nice change from using the "patience-of-a-saint" side with my four sons at home!). My quilting time is snatched here and there. I recently finished a small Nativity wall quilt; the appliqué was easily completed in the car during one soccer practice or another. The combinations of color, design and irresistibly yummy fabrics keep me constantly thinking about my next quilt.
