I've always been attracted to quilts and I couldn't be in a better place--I'm surrounded by talented quiltmakers! As Quiltmaker's Art Director, I've discovered producing a magazine is similar to creating a quilt. Many different elements combine to create a "masterpiece" with a story to tell.
My day is filled with reviewing fabric choices, creating quilt blocks, generating computer assembly diagrams, designing page layouts, directing photo shoots and reviewing color proofs. I enjoy these tasks because they produce such a creative, informative magazine.
My favorite aspect of quiltmaking is designing. Much of my inspiration comes from my elementary-age twins, Andy and Kellie. I love to create unique pictorial quilts, and foundation piecing is my favorite technique.
